- yard and gin cleaners
- delivery workers
- labourers
- mobile plant or gin machinery operators
- assistant/trainee ginners
- weighbridge operators
- qualified / experienced workers who maintain gin equipment
- supervisors who are responsible for the operation of the gin and may supervise other employees.
The Cotton Ginning Award also covers labour hire businesses and their employees who are placed with an organisation who operates cotton ginneries.
