Who the Cemetery Award covers

The Cemetery Award covers employers in the cemetery and crematorium industry, and their employees who fit within the classifications of the award.

Examples of employees and employers covered by the Cemetery Award includes:

  • gravediggers
  • memorial persons
  • funeral assistants
  • funeral supervisors
  • crematorium operators.

The Cemetery Award also covers labour hire businesses and their employees who are placed with an organisation in the cemetery and crematorium industry.

Who the Cemetery Award doesn't cover

The following employers and employees are not covered by the Cemetery Award:

  • embalmers
  • funeral conductors
  • funeral arrangers.
