Who the Architects Award covers

The Architects Award covers employers of architects and their employees who fit within the classifications of the award.

An architect is an employee registered as an architect under any Australian legislation.

Examples of employees covered by the Architects Award include:

  • architecture students
  • architecture graduates
  • registered architects.

The Architects Award also covers labour hire businesses and their employees who are placed with an architectural organisation.

Who the Architects Award doesn't cover

The following employers and employees are not covered by the Architects Award:

  • draughtspersons
  • designers
  • an employee engaged on the academic staff of a university, college or higher education
  • employees not engaged in architecture.
