Rostered days off & public holidays in the Registered Clubs Award
There are paid and unpaid rostered days off (RDO) in the Registered Clubs Award.
What is an unpaid RDO?
A day an employee is not rostered to work.
What is a paid RDO?
An accumulated paid day off. An employee works extra hours over a set time so they can later take a paid day off.
What if an RDO falls on a public holiday?
A full-time employee that has a paid or unpaid RDO on the same day as a public holiday will get:
- an extra day’s pay,
- another day off within 28 days, or
- an extra day of annual leave.
