Converting annual salaries to hourly rates in the Pilots Award
The Pilots Award only contains annual salaries. Calculating an hourly rate depends on the employment type.
Full-time and part-time
To get the weekly rate, divide the annual salary by 52.
To get the hourly rate, divide the weekly rate by 38.
Casual
To get the rate for a flying hour, divide the annual salary by 800. Casuals also get a 25% loading.
Casual aerial application operations have a set daily rate of pay.
