Live Performance Award changes during coronavirus
On 22 February 2022, the Fair Work Commission issued a determination extending the operation of subclause 25.3(d)(iii) of the Live Performance Award. Subclause 25.3(d)(iii) is a temporary clause that changes notice payments for employees when there's a failure to produce or present productions due to coronavirus. The subclause was due to expire on 12 March 2022, but will now operate until 12 September 2022.
Employees are entitled to 2 weeks payment if they are engaged in a production that can't be produced or presented due to a COVID-19-related closure or a government directive. Payment is at the applicable minimum weekly rate for their classification.
