Changing rostered day off arrangements through individual flexibility arrangements

Some awards provide for an accrued rostered day off (RDO) system. This might not suit all employees.

Individual flexibility arrangements (IFAs) allow an employer an employee to agree to vary the following award terms:

  • arrangements for when work is performed
  • overtime rates
  • penalty rates
  • allowances
  • leave loading.

An RDO system can be varied through an IFA if the employer and employee genuinely agree.
