Casual Saturday pay in the Children’s Services Award
Saturday pay for casuals who aren't shiftworkers
They're paid their base pay rate plus a 25% casual loading if they:
- work less than 8 hours that day
- haven't worked more than 38 hours in that week.
All work beyond these hours on a Saturday will be paid at overtime rates.
Saturday pay for casual shiftworkers
They get a 150% penalty for all ordinary shift hours worked. They also get their 25% casual loading.
The penalty and loading are both calculated on the casual's base pay rate.
All time worked beyond their ordinary hours will be overtime.
Minimum payment for Saturday work
All employees must be paid for at least 4 hours when working on a Saturday.
