Annual leave loading when employment ends in the Road Transport (Long Distance) Award
Employees get paid for annual leave loading when their employment ends.
The 30% leave loading is calculated on any unused annual leave paid out when the employment ends.
Why is it paid?
The National Employment Standards say that the pay rate for annual leave when employment ends must be the same as what the employee would have been paid had they taken the leave.
