Award coverage for wagering employees

Coverage for wagering employees depends on the duties performed by employees, what kind of employer they work for, and where they’re employed.

Clerks Award

The Clerks Award covers employees performing customer service for businesses that provide wagering services to the public:

  • on-course
  • over the phone
  • on the internet
  • in stand-alone betting shops.

It also covers clerical employees in the head office of a wagering business.

An example of a wagering business is Tabcorp.

Retail Award

The Retail Award covers employees employed in customer service by agents operating stand-alone betting agencies for wagering businesses. An example is a TAB agency.

Hospitality Award

The Hospitality Award covers employees attending wagering terminals in hotels and pubs.

Registered Clubs Award

The Registered Clubs Award covers employees attending wagering terminals in clubs. It also covers employees supervising employees attending wagering terminals.
